Farida Kathawalla is a tireless champion for girls and women’s issues. She is a World Education board member, heads the Development Committee, and is the Chair of the Global Voices event. Farida also serves on the Advisory Board of The Bantwana Initiative, a division of World Education which focuses on improving the wellbeing of vulnerable children and their caregivers and families affected by HIV and poverty.

Outside her work with World Education, Farida is the co-president of the Global Women’s Circle at the United Nations Association of Boston, where she has focused on issues impacting women and girls. She is also a Program Committee member of New England International Donors, a community of engaged global philanthropists. Farida is an active member of the American India Foundation (AIF), New England chapter and their New England Council of Governors. Farida’s new initiative with AIF, the Circle of Hope, inspires, educates, and empowers women philanthropists through the power of collective giving to positively impact the lives of underprivileged women and girls in India.

Linda Harrar has a deep commitment to World Education’s mission and spreading awareness about education issues through media and art. Linda has served on the Board of World Education since 2007. She is currently the Vice Chair of the board and a member of the Global Voices event committee.

Linda Harrar is Senior Program Manager for WGBH’s Green Media Project, Innovation IdeaLab,
and Foundation Development. In these roles, she encourages the development of public television, radio, and web programming on environmental, health, and education topics for all ages. As a NOVA Science Series producer earlier in her career, Linda filmed two dozen hour-long documentaries in 35 countries as well as all seven continents. She is a member of the President's Council for Cornell Women and the Filmmakers Collaborative.
