CHILDREN IN THE ARTS

The Children in the Arts contest is a unique event highlighting the talents of fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students in public, private, and parochial schools along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  The inspiration behind the Children in the Arts Contest is to stimulate the creative potential of our young children and to bring to the public an awareness of the importance of involving children in the arts.

All children's artwork from local participating schools will be displayed and judged at Coast Episcopal School’s annual fundraiser, Toast to the Coast.  Following this, all artwork will be on exhibit at Coast Episcopal School’s Gail Keenan Art Center.  All first, second, and third place winners from schools participating in Children in the Arts will be invited to attend a day long art workshop and reception.  The workshop is a thank you to our participants and will be conducted by local artists.

For more information, please contact Anna Harris at toast2thecoast@myces.org or by calling the school office at (228) 452-9442 and leaving a message for her.
