Triangle Community Center (TCC) graciously invites you to the 12th Annual Visionary Gala! The Visionary Gala is TCC's most important annual fundraising event-- and this year we are putting a special focus on our services that help LGBTQ people every single day here in Connecticut. With your support, you will join hundreds of others in ensuring that we have the resources we need to support programs at TCC. These programs include getting young adults off the street, connecting transgender individuals with the best care, and providing a forum for all to thrive. Our young adult services, case management program, Pride festival, and trainings all count on the success of the Visionary Gala. We are delighted to give you a night to remember for a cause worth fighting for.
An end to homelessness. Connection among divided communities. Laws and policies that protect everyone. Equal employment opportunities for all people, no matter their sexuality or gender identity. Transgender visibility. Easily accessible HIV/AIDS care.
Welcome to the 12th Annual Visionary Gala: Visions of Tomorrow, a fundraiser to benefit Triangle Community Center (TCC). Join us as we envision a future of equality and hope.
An extravaganza that our community cherishes annually, the Visionary Gala will delight you. This year we are offering you world-class food from Abigail Kirsch Catering, entertainment and music so you can dance the night away, messaging about TCC's important work, a futuristic theme, and an awards ceremony spotlighting leadership and courage in the LGBTQ community.
Visionary Party FAQs
Q: What's the dress code for the Visionary Party?
A: Black tie optional-- dresses, suits, etc. As long as you're comfortable and happy, we are comfortable and happy too. However, we encourage you to look glamorous and also encourage you to dress with some inspiration from our theme!
Q: Do I get to have dinner?
A: Yes! Everyone receives dinner at the Visionary Gala.
Q: I am a volunteer. Do I get to attend the Visionary Gala for free?
A: A: Volunteers who work the event in its duration get in for free. If you volunteer prior to the event itself and would like to attend, you will need to buy a ticket. For all questions related to volunteering at Visionary Gala, email Office & Volunteer Coordinator Michael DeWolfe at Michael@CTPrideCenter.org.
What is TCC?
Triangle Community Center (TCC) is Fairfield County's LGBTQ community center. TCC is home to over two-dozen drop-in programs, which include youth groups, recovery programs, peer support groups, and so much more. In 2015, we began our case management program to help people in need. Our case management team meets people who need our support and helps them to create a care plan that often includes resources such as financial assistance, housing, navigation, document updates, and referrals. TCC also provides LGBTQ cultural competency trainings for businesses, nonprofits, educators, and law enforcement in Fairfield County so that they are better prepared to work with members of our community. Our clients are primarily low to no income LGBTQ young adults and older adults from Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Stamford. TCC serves all of Fairfield County but often sees clients from Westchester, New Haven and Litchfield County as well. TCC is participating in the statewide effort to end youth and young adult homelessness by 2020. On any given night there are 3,000 homeless young adults in CT and 1,000 of them identify as being LGBTQ. In 2017, TCC launched its Young Adult Services program with a new space here in Norwalk to get young adults off the street and to give them a safe environment in which to connect and thrive.
What is the Visionary Gala?
The Visionary Gala is TCC's biggest fundraising event of the year. Each year the event raises over 20% of the operating funds TCC requires to provide our current level of programming and services to the community. The funds are donated by generous and supportive members of our community as well as exceptional corporate partners. The event includes a sit-down dinner for 300 people, community awards given to those who have served the LGBTQ community locally with distinction, spotlights of TCC's programs and services, silent auction, live auction, and a night full of entertainment and dancing.
