Online ticket and sponsorship purchases for the 32nd Annual Dinner have ended. If you would like to join the Dinner, please call (202) 833-2210 between 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The Japan-America Society of Washington DC’s Annual Dinner & Silent Auction is the primary source of support for the Society’s educational and cultural programming, which includes school visits to teach students about Japan and Japanese language education support. Each year, the Dinner’s banquet hall is filled with organizations and individuals, public and private, who have contributed to the foundation of U.S.-Japan relations in Washington, DC.

We are so thankful for the grand contributions our sponsors, participants, and partners made to last year's 60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner. In the spirit of fostering the U.S.-Japan relationship, we hope to make the 32nd Annual Dinner a great follow-up to last year's one-of-a-kind gala.

We hope you'll join us at this memorable gathering. If you are interested in sponsoring a table through your company or organization, we have four levels of sponsorship. You can also purchase either an individual or couples ticket. Please see the lefthand menu for sponsorship/ticket purchasing options.

The Dinner will be held at the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown from 6 PM on Tuesday, November 13.

Please consider making a donation to our Silent Auction. In keeping with the efforts from the previous year's Dinner, we’d love to collect both tangible and intangible items that are one-of-a-kind pieces – special gifts that one can only receive by attending the anniversary Dinner. We are looking specifically for experiences that someone can only have in and around the Nation’s Capital. Examples include:
  • Tours of unique houses or historical areas in and around Washington, DC
  • Gift certificates from exceptional restaurants, breweries, wineries, or unique shops in the area
  • Private gatherings with chefs, curators, artists, writers, etc.
  • Special donations from artists, writers, chefs, curators, etc.
  • Special workshops or lectures
All items should be delivered to the Society by Friday, October 26, 2018. Please refer to the Donate an Item page for more details.

If you would like to make a monetary donation to support intercultural education within the Greater Washington, DC area, you can do so here.
