The Japan-America Society of Washington DC’s Annual Dinner & Silent Auction is the primary source of support for the Society’s educational and cultural programming, which includes school visits to teach students about Japan and Japanese language education support. Each year, the Dinner’s banquet hall is filled with organizations and individuals, public and private, who have contributed to the foundation of U.S.-Japan relations in Washington, DC.

We are so thankful for the grand contributions our sponsors, participants, and partners made to last year's 60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner. In the spirit of fostering the U.S.-Japan relationship, we hope to make the 32nd Annual Dinner a great follow-up to last year's one-of-a-kind gala.

We hope you'll join us at this memorable gathering. If you are interested in sponsoring a table through your company or organization, we have four levels of sponsorship. The Dinner will be held at the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown from 6 PM on Tuesday, November 13.

Please consider making a donation to our Silent Auction. In keeping with the efforts from the previous year's Dinner, we’d love to collect both tangible and intangible items that are one-of-a-kind pieces – special gifts that one can only receive by attending the anniversary Dinner. We are looking specifically for experiences that someone can only have in and around the Nation’s Capital. Examples include:
  • Tours of unique houses or historical areas in and around Washington, DC
  • Gift certificates from exceptional restaurants, breweries, wineries, or unique shops in the area
  • Private gatherings with chefs, curators, artists, writers, etc.
  • Special donations from artists, writers, chefs, curators, etc.
  • Special workshops or lectures
