Each year, close to 16,000 children are diagnosed with cancer, and undergo treatments that dramatically limit their ability to go to school and interact with their friends. Hopecam's mission is simple: overcome the social isolation experienced by children in treatment for cancer.
With tablets, laptop computers and web cameras, along with coordination through families, teachers and healthcare providers, Hopecam links children to the lives they had before their diagnosis, acting as a bridge toward recovery. This fall Hopecam will have Connected over 1,700 children to over 30,000 classmates in across 47 states and abroad!
Hopecam is celebrating our 15th Anniversary! Our goal this year is to raise $200,000 to help 200 more children connect to their schools, friends and support systems during the time that they need them the most. Join us to help celebrate 15 years of Connecting Children with Cancer to Life!
Hosted in the atrium of the Silverline Center, join friends and business colleagues for an entertaining evening, benefiting children with cancer.
Hopecam, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, has a simple yet life-saving mission: to reduce the loneliness felt by young cancer patients as they undergo treatment. We provide tablet computers and other forms of technology that enable homebound children to stay connected with their classmates, friends and family. The learning and laughter lift the spirits of these children and help them stay positive during a difficult time.
As Hopecam celebrates its 15th anniversary, we take pride in connecting over 1,700 children to 30,000 classmates in the U.S. and abroad. Ninety percent of the students helped by Hopecam attend Title 1 schools.
Our goal is to transform the lives of many more children with cancer. But we cannot do it alone. Won’t you help us help more children? Find out how by visiting www.hopecam.org.
