Third Annual
Charity Gala, Auctions and Golf Tournament
September 24 and 25, 2018
Houston, Texas

Dear Grateful American Charity Supporters,

We are proud that over the past 3 years, the Grateful Americans Charity, through your generous support and donations, has raised approximately $500,000 for The PTSD Foundation of American and Camp Hope!  We could not have been as successful without the sponsors, participants, donors, volunteers and attendees at the six events held over the past 3 years.

The Grateful Americans Charity is excited to announce our Flagship Events - the Third Annual Houston Gala/Auctions and Golf Tournament on September 24 and 25, 2018 respectively.  The events are historically our largest fund-raising events of the year.

The 2018 Charity "Strike Out PTSD" Gala and Auctions will be held on Monday, September 24th at the Minute Maid Park, home of the World Champion Houston Astro's, located in downtown Houston, Texas.  The Gala event will include a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment, casino play, along with silent and live auctions.

The 2018 Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at The Club at Carlton Woods (Nicklaus Course) in the Woodlands.

The purpose of these events is to raise funds in support of our nation’s military men and women suffering from PTSD.  Grateful Americans Charity's mission is to provide resources that support programs aimed at ending Veteran homelessness and combating the invisible wounds of war.

Events of this magnitude can not happen without the dedication of dozens of volunteers that give hundreds of hours of their time to ensure success.  In addition to all the volunteers, we rely on generous sponsors, gift gathering hosts, and auction donors to help us reach our ambitious goals.

Today our Veterans face new challenges and need our help more than ever.  Many Veterans return home from war with wounds that are not visible outwardly, but may secretly torment them day and night.  Our young men and women are deployed into the battlefield with the honor of fighting for our country, but many return home a broken soldier with a wounded heart, and a mind filled with trauma and unrest.  The trauma of war may be with them a life time and can become a daily struggle.

We as Grateful Americans come together to make a difference.  Through these special events we learn to understand the needs of our veterans, and use our resources to give back and to say “Thank You to our Brave Veterans” by providing a facility for supportive services to end Veteran homelessness, despair and suicides.

Our partnership with you, our generous sponsors and patrons, allows us to provide important resources to our Veterans.  The Grateful Americans Charity Board would like to thank everyone involved in these amazing endeavors.  We look forward to seeing all of you in Houston at the events and ask that in the spirit of generosity, join us and give when possible, with the knowledge that together we are making a difference.
