This is a beautiful original painting of 2 thoroughbreds neck and neck at the final length of a race and will make a stunning addition to the home or office of the horse lover that has an affinity for the races. It is an acrylic painting on linen canvas. It is signed by a W. Martin and the donor-advised that the painting was purchased in Santa Fe, NM in the 1970s. After much research and many conversations with art galleries in New Mexico, we were unable to identify the artist and thus have very little information about the painting.
The original frame was damaged so it was carefully removed that the painting was re-framed into a frame that highlights the piece even more. The original frame has been saved should the winning bidder want to hold on to it and continue trying to solve the mystery of who the artist of this great piece is.
