What a magnificent evening!  Thousands of dollars raised for financial aid and moving speeches from our 2018 Co-op Legacy Award recipients:


Dan McGuire, Co-op alum, CEO of Homeless Solutions, Inc.  Dan has been with Homeless Solutions since 2004 andbecame their CEO in 2016.  Homeless solutions provide shelter, affordable housing, and supportive services to approximately 500 homeless and low-income households in Morris County, NJ.



Young Audiences New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania.  YANJEP has been a key member of our STEAM program since 2014, assisting in the Artists in Education Residency Grant Program.  Young Audiences' vision and goal -- to foster the creativity of every child, and to encourage productive and caring human beings -- align so well with the Co-op's.  The Artists in Education Residency Grant Program is a project of The New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Young Audiences New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania. The program is carried out in partnership with regional partners, including Appel Farm Arts & Music Center. 













The Co-op Legacy Award has been established to recognize community leaders -- individuals or organizations -- that demonstrate Co-op values, which are the principles of progressive education.  The recipients of this award demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:


o Compassion for others

o Advancement of social justice

o Collaborative spirit

o Creativity

o Problem-solving ability

o Enthusiasm for lifelong learning
