Celebrate Cookies & Cocktails and All That Jazz with Girl Scouts Louisiana East on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at club XLIV in New Orleans. Proceeds benefit Girl Scouts right here in your community within the 23 parishes we serve!
The evening features 20 or more local chefs and bartenders who put a new spin on your traditional Girl Scout cookie favorites. From savory appetizers to sweet desserts and thoughtfully crafted beverages, chefs and mixologists may use any of the eight varieties of Girl Scout cookies to create their one-of-a-kind item. As guests sample the chefs’ creations and enjoy unique cocktails, they’ll also enjoy live music, capture memories in the photo booth and bid in the exciting silent auction.
Celebrity judges will crown the Judge’s Choice champion while guests will vote to crown the People’s Choice winner. It will be a delicious evening you surely do not want to miss! Emcee is News with a Twist reporter Kenny Lopez and event co-chairs are Dr. Allison Augustus-Wallace and Fox 8’s Nancy Parker. Celebrity judges include NFL Analyst Mike Detillier, Health Educator Doc Griggs and Food Columnist Kristine Froeba of the Uptown Messenger.
Proceeds from the event support Girl Scouts programs throughout Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana parishes.
