A Magnificent Dinner for 12 Prepared by Todd Jurich and Expertly Paired with Vintage First Growth and Premier Cru Bordeaux Wines from the Miller Cellar

Item #: 8
You and eleven guests will experience a rare treat.  Acclaimed Chef Todd Jurich will expertly pair these exceptional wines with seasonal ingredients for an evening you will never forget in the private dining room at Todd Jurich’s Bistro.  The wines provide a veritable tour of Bordeaux with wines from Sauternes, the right bank and of course First Growths from Pauillac.
Your dinner will include the following fabulous wines:

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht  Gewürztraminer Vendage Tardive 1989  (1 - 750 ml bottle)
Lush and balanced, this outstanding selection will welcome you to an evening full of promise with hand selected wines from the Miller cellar.

Chateau Cos d’Estournel 1982 – RP 97 (1 magnum  bottle)
A monumental wine, it exhibits gobs of explosive blackcurrant fruit. Unctuous, massive, rich, full-bodied, and loaded with extract and tannin, this remains one of the greatest Cos d’Estournels.

Chateau Leoville Las Cases 1986 – RP 100  (2 - 750 ml bottles)
The bouquet is magnificent: extraordinarily pure and delineated, bewitching black fruit laced with cedar and graphite, the latter lending an almost Pauillac-like personality. The palate is structured, delineated, intense, aristocratic and imperious. The acidity is perfectly judged lending freshness and tension, crucial to counterbalance those layers of spicy black fruit that fans out with cedar and graphite towards the finish.

Chateau Gruaud Larose 1982 – RP 98 (2 - 750 ml bottles)
A broodingly dense, thick, unctuously textured, garnet/purple color offers up scents of beef blood, steak tartare, cassis, herbs, tobacco, and underbrush. One of the most concentrated wines of the vintage; it is a huge, full-bodied, weighty, rich wine whose tannins are getting silkier and silkier. This behemoth is a singularly profound example of Gruaud Larose that continues to justify its legendary status.

Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1986 – RP 100 (2 -750 ml bottles)
It has a powerful and intense bouquet as always: exemplary graphite and cedar scents, a touch of black pepper and incense. It seems to unfurl in the glass, like a motor revving its engine. The palate is beautifully balanced with its trademark firm tannic structure, a Mouton-Rothschild with backbone and masculinity.
