Chateau Cheval Blanc 1990
This is unequivocally a brilliant wine. The nose holds nothing back, the palate is full-bodied and cloaked in a silky, velvety texture, and there is so much fruit in the bravura of a finish. RP 100
Chateau Rauzan-Segla 1994
The nose offers toasty new oak aromas, along with those of subtle, ripe cassis fruit. It is full bodied with high tannin and considerable power and thickness. RP 92
Chateau Calon-Segur 1995
It has an endearing bouquet that still seems youthful, the palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, impressive depth and backbone. RP 94
Chateau Pichon-Longueville 1995
This is a stunning wine with flamboyant aromatics. It is full bodied and exquisite on the palate – RP 96
Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1992
This is a real achievement for the vintage, boasting plenty of fruit, tobacco and dark chocolate character.
Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 1995
The wine is forward, sexy, round, and generous, with gobs of black fruit and a subtle dosage of new oak. RP 91
Chateau LaFon-Rochet 1995
The superb 1995 may be the finest wine Lafon-Rochet has ever made - a very impressive wine. RP 93
Chateau Clerc Milon 1995
The wine possesses a gorgeously sweet nose, an opulent texture, layers of fruit and a full-bodied finish. RP 90
Chateau Smith-Haut-Lafite 1995
This is a full-bodied wine with blackberries aromas, silky and firm tannins and a medium finish. WS 90
Chateau Ferriere 1995
The wine exhibits an impressively saturated ruby color and an attractive, sweet toasty oak nose. This is a very well-made wine with frim, angular personality.
Chateau Le Bon Pasteur 1995
Beautiful aromas of flowers, plum and licorice follow through to a full-bodied palate, with chewy tannins and a long finish. WS 90
Chateau D’Issan 1995
This is an excellent wine with deep ruby color, a spicy nose and sweet fruit on the attack, with very good purity, ripeness and overall balance.
Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1961*
The bouquet is utterly refined, yet it has a sense of authority and purpose. Vestiges of faded dark fruit mix with scents of an antique mahogany bureau and tobacco. Surprisingly youthful, it is beautifully balanced with perfectly judged acidity. There is something "princely" about this Lafite, blue blooded and yet old school. RP 93
Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou 1961*
Fully mature, yet continuing to exhibit gobs of rich, lush, expansive fruit, the 1961 possesses an exotic bouquet of ripe fruit, vanillin, caramel, mint, and cedar. Fat, rich, and loaded with sweet, highly extracted fruit, this velvety, beautifully crafted wine has a 60-75 second finish. It is a brilliant wine. RP 96
Chateau Pavie 1961*
The wine revealed a huge, spicy, cedary, black plum-scented nose, rich, concentrated, opulent flavors, amazing youthfulness, and plenty of tannin and alcohol in the finish. RP 90
Chateau Troplong Mondot 1961*
The wine is plenty mature, and very ripe in style: full-bodied, buttery and almost cooked in aroma, but solid, fruity and chocolaty in flavor. Very good for its age.
Chateau Lynch Bages 1961*
The best Lynch-Bages made during the sixties, its rich, cedary, massive aromas of black currants and leather are still present in plentiful amounts. Deep, powerful, concentrated, alcoholic, and extremely long on the palate, this huge wine has been at its apogee since the late seventies. RP 95
