Camp Tiger Benefit & Auction 2019

Since 1985, each freshman class of the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans has hosted Camp Tiger, a week-long summer day camp for children who are physically, cognitively, or emotionally challenged. This year, the Class of 2022 will host the 34th Annual Camp Tiger, and we need your support in order to make it the best it can be!

Camp Tiger allows children with special health needs to come together for a full week of camp experiences, including field trips, activities, crafts, and friendship - all completely free of charge. We expect to host children from the greater New Orleans, Northshore, and Baton Rouge areas. As future healthcare professionals, our passion for the community and commitment to improving the state of healthcare in Louisiana begins now. Camp Tiger gives medical students the unique opportunity to spend an entire week learning both the joys and challenges of working with a special needs population, while empowering and inspiring the children and families we serve.

The annual Camp Tiger Benefit & Auction is the largest fundraising source for Camp Tiger. The event features a Silent and Live Auction with items procured by the Class of 2022, including vacations, autographed sports memorabilia, artwork, jewelry, and much more. Guests from across Louisiana will enjoy the sounds of local music with food and beverages from New Orleans restaurants, both traditional favorites and new hotspots. All proceeds from the Auction will directly benefit Camp Tiger, contributing to a wonderful week at no cost to the participants. Our class is very excited for you to join in the fun and help make Camp Tiger 2019 great. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
