GLHS Class of 1995
Matt grew up in a house that was always filled with the music coming from his dad's huge record collection.  He fell in love with it, and was driven to learn to play it and write it himself.  Starting with the guitar, he continued to learn and acquire new instruments and recording equipment his whole life.  After catching the performing bug in high school with his band "651" as well as numerous other choirs, musicals, and ensembles, he went on to form another band, "The Shantee", on his first day at Denison University.  After years of touring and recording, he switched his focus to composing for film, TV, and commercials.  He is best known for his scores for 'Apollo 11', 'The Last Steps', and the Emmy-winning 'Dinosaur 13'.  CLICK HERE to view Matt Morton explaining his process of developing music for Apollo 11.
